Get Explicit Consent First
People need to opt in before you can text them. This means they filled out a form, texted a keyword to your number, or otherwise explicitly said "yes, text me."
Make Opting Out Easy
Every mass text should give people a way to stop receiving messages. For example, you can include "Reply stop to stop" at the bottom of your message. If anyone replies any of the compliant opt-out keywords like stop, end, cancel etc - Roezan automatically will opt them out, so they are removed from future sending instantly. This helps keep you compliant!
A2P Registration
In order to send messages in the US, your phone number needs to be A2P (Application To Person) verified - Everyone that sends busineses messages in the US has to go through this process, regardless of vendor. Always include your Brand name and remind them who it's from in every message.
Keep It Short
You can send long messages if you want - even up to 1600 characters with MMS. But honestly text messages work best when you keep them short! Get to the point. If you need more space, include a link.
Time It Right
Don't text people at 6am or 11pm. Business hours work best. Tuesday through Thursday tend to see the highest engagement.

How much does a mass texting service cost?

How many texts can I send at once?
There's no hard cap on the number of contacts you can send to in a single broadcast. Your plan determines your monthly message credits, but a single blast can go to your entire list, whether that's 100 people or 100,000.
Can I send pictures and media with mass texts?
Yes. Roezan supports MMS (multimedia messaging), which lets you attach images, GIFs, and other media to your mass texts. MMS messages use more credits than standard SMS, but they tend to get higher engagement.
Is mass texting legal?
Yes, as long as you have consent from the people you're texting and you give them a way to opt out. The TCPA governs business text messaging in the US. Roezan includes built-in compliance tools like automatic opt-out handling and 10DLC A2P registration support.
What's the difference between mass texting and group texting?
Group texting (from your phone) puts everyone in a shared thread where they see each other's replies. It's limited to about 10-25 people. Mass texting sends a private, individual message to each person on your list. No shared thread, no recipient limit, plus you get tracking and personalization.
Do I need a special phone number?
Roezan provides you with a dedicated phone number for sending mass texts. You don't use your personal cell number. Your dedicated number goes through A2P registration so carriers recognize it as a legitimate business sender.
Can I personalize mass texts?
Absolutely. Use merge fields to insert each contact's name, company, or any custom data you've stored. "Hey Sarah, your order ships tomorrow" hits way harder than "Dear Customer, your order ships tomorrow."
How do people opt in and out?
People can opt in by texting a keyword to your number, filling out a web form, or being imported from your CRM (with prior consent). You can even generate a QR code that people scan to subscribe. For opt-outs, anyone can reply STOP and they're automatically removed.
