If you’re struggling to figure out how to sell your course, coaching program, or product — you’re not alone.

In this post, I’ll break down three proven funnel models that are responsible for millions in revenue across different industries.

I’ll show you what each one is, who it’s best for, and how to decide which one to use.

1. The Low-Ticket Ascension Funnel

The Low-Ticket Ascension funnel is BEST for getting cold leads in the door, starting the relationship, getting a list of buyers.

This is also often called an AC Funnel or a SLO funnel (Self-Liquidating-Offer).

This model starts with a low-cost offer (like $7–$49) designed to get people in the door. These are products that are meant to solve a single, small part of the problem.

After they buy, you immediately present order bumps, upsells, or a subscription offer to increase average order value and help cover ad costs / make it profitable quickly.

The real profit comes from the back end — usually through email/SMS nurturing into higher-ticket programs or services.

Pros:

  • Builds a buyer list fast
  • Great for getting cold leads
  • If you liquidate ad costs, buyer leads are essentially free
  • Easier to create than a core offer
  • Great for testing new markets

Cons:

  • Can be margin-thin if not optimized
  • Requires solid backend to make real money

2. The Webinar Funnel

Webinars funnels are best for core offers, typically in the price range of ~$1k–$4k like online courses or group coaching.

This also sometimes is called a Webby funnel, Live Training, Challenge Funnel.

It usually takes 1-2 hours of a live presentation (can be evergreen too) to get someone to pay you a few thousands dollars.

This is the fastest way to get someone who is  interested to handing over their credit card.

Pros:

  • Works great for mid-ticket sales
  • One-to-many presentation (close lots of people the same time)
  • Leverages education to sell
  • FAST way to get people to buy

Cons:

P.S. Want to double your attendance on webbys? Send automated event reminders!

3. The High-Ticket VSL + Application Funnel

The VSL / Application funnel is best for higher ticket offers, in the range of $5k+, typically 1:1 consulting, high-touch services.

This model leads with a short video sales letter that hits pain points and builds urgency — then directs to an application form and a call booking page (like Calendly).

It filters out unqualified leads and lets you (or a closer) focus on serious buyers.

Pros:

  • Sells expensive items
  • High conversion rates for the right offer
  • Filters out tire-kickers
  • Great for premium services or masterminds

Cons:

  • You need a closer or sales team
  • 1 to 1 sales (vs. 1 to many)
  • Doesn’t work well without social proof or authority

Which Funnel Should You Use?

Depending on your goal, product, and price point different funnels can work better.

This is not the end-all-be-all of funnels, and there are lots of variations, but these are the core 3 we see most commonly in info/coaching.

Just by adding automated SMS to each of these, you can dramatically improve your results -
