Most people launch completely wrong, and it costs them dearly!
Beleive me, this is the exact mistake that I made.
Story time:
I launched THE SAME product twice, and the second time I literatlly 10X'd the sales.
I'm not joking, it was literally the same product, just 2 different "types" of launches.
Here's what happened:
Launch 1
The first launch, we spent most of the time working on the product, and when we were ready to launch, I proudly whipped up the "marketing email" to let people know...
It went something like this:
Hey firstname,
We've been working on this for months, and today, we're SUPER EXCITED to announce that were launching XYZ.
It's a great product for these reasons, and you should get it!

Pretty great email right?
WRONG.
This launch was woefully underwhelming.
Yeah we sold some, but honestly it was pretty pathetic.
This is the problem with most launches:
No hype. No buildup. No context.
No one cares.
So if you want to 10X your results, you gotta build up.
It doesn't have to be complex, but since you spend a lot of time working on the product, you should give it the hype it deserves!
Launch 2:
So we launched the product again with a very simple formula to build context, proof, hype.
(I'm about to break down what this looks like in this article).
Results from the second time, with the launch sequence?
Literally, no joke, 10X'd the sales.
So I'm going to lay out here a sipmle formula that you can follow + the SMS templates that will drive the attention.
Text messages keep your launch top-of-mind, drive people to watch your content, and multiply the effectiveness of your emails and ads.

Why SMS Is a Game-Changer for Product Launches

The One-Week Product Launch Framework Template
Here’s a simple product launch schedule you can follow.
What we'll do here is really get your audience paying attention, introduce the concepts, give context, really connect with their pains and problems - then beautifully deliver our product as the solution...
...All with value, hype, fanfare, and scarcity to maximize the number of people that benefit from the product.
This version is based on a simple “value video” sequence, but you can adapt it to live trainings, challenges, or any format you like.
Typically the format is to push people to a live (or even recorded) video training each day so they consume it. Launches are often complimented by starting a facebook mini-group or similar to generate a lot of social proof.
Here's a basic outline:
Pre-Launch (Week Before)
Start by building hype before the launch sequence. Let your audience know something exciting is coming.
You're going to be showing them how to get a BIG RESULT without the normal stuff they want to avoid.... all in a free video series / challenge / training.
Get them to Register / sign up for your free event.
This creates a list of highly-engaged people you can text aggressively (because they raised their hand):
Example SMS:
“Hey [Name], it’s [Your Name] from [Brand]. Next Monday we’re kicking off a free 4-day training / challenge on [topic]. Spots are limited -save yours here: [link] Reply STOP to stop.”
You should promote your launch everywhere - via email, your website, social, ads etc.
But just as a tip, SMS is often one of the top sources of registrations (not just show ups)?
SMS is one of the most powerful channels!
Monday: Value Video 1 (The What / Why / Opportunity)
For the first video, we're going to introduce the big idea, opportunity, or the core concept.
Show the “what” + the "why" behind the opportunity. What are we talking about, why this method, and/or why now?
SMS Template:
“[Firstname], it's [Name] from [Brand]. Day 1 of "Event Name" is live! Watch the first video training now: [link] Reply STOP to stop”
Tuesday: Value Video 2 (The How)
Go deeper and show the how:
- How the system works
- How a piece of it works
- How the steps are laid out
- Or give them the second piece of the puzzle
SMS Template:
“[Firstname], it's [Name] from [Brand]. Day 2 of [Event Name] is here! Watch the next training video now: [link]”
Wednesday: Value Video 3 (The Proof)
Bring in proof and case studies. Show real people who’ve gotten results, or a real world application of the system, show them THEY can do it. Eliminate any external forces that would make them unable
SMS Template:
“[Firstname], it's [Name] from [Brand]. We're live for day 3 - See how Name acthived Y: [link]”
Thursday: Cart Open + VSL (The Shortcut)
Reveal the full offer. This video (or live session) explains the pains, benefits, and how your product solves the problem. Your product is the solution / the shortcut. Cart officially opens.
SMS Template:
“[Firstname], it's [Name] from [Brand]. Our most important video just went live - The shortcut to XYZ: Watch here: [link]”
Optional later, when offer drops:
SMS Template:
“[Firstname], it's [Name] from [Brand]. We just released the biggest thing we've ever done - XYZ Product: Learn more here: [link]”
Friday: Case Study Proof (The Product Proof)
Reinforce belief. Share a transformation story that makes your product feel achievable.
SMS Template:
“[Firstname], it's [Name] from [Brand]. [Customer Name] went from [struggle] to [result] using [program/product]. See her story here: [link]”
Saturday: FAQ + Objection Busting
Address the top questions and false beliefs holding people back.
SMS Template:
“[Firstname], it's [Name] from [Brand]. We got so many questions about [program] so we answered them here: [link]”
Sunday: Scarcity + Bonuses
Turn up the urgency. Highlight limited spots, bonuses, or discounts.
SMS Template:
“[Firstname], it's [Name] from [Brand]. Enrollment for [program] closes TOMORROW. Join today & get these exclusive bonuses: [link]”
Monday: Last Day, 3 Touches (Scarcity / Reminders)
The finish line. Send multiple reminders (morning, afternoon, evening). This is when 50% of sales typically come in.
SMS 1 (morning):
“[Firstname], it's [Name] from [Brand]. Today’s the LAST DAY to join [program]. Don’t miss your chance: [link]”
SMS 2 (afternoon):
“[Firstname], it's [Name] from [Brand]. Have you seen our success stories? 100+ people just like you have already joined. Only hours left: [link]”
SMS 3 (final hours):
“[Firstname], it's [Name] from [Brand]. Final reminder: enrollment closes tonight at [time]. This is your last chance to join + get all bonuses. Act now: [link]”
